Join the Association of Student Educators
The association of Student Educators (ASE) is student ran, but Dr. Heart, Dr. Miller, and Dr. Percy help guide the club and give additional resources. Everyone is welcomed, but it is directed towards education majors. Our main objective is to gain experience working with children through volunteer work, tutoring, and playing with children, but this club is an open book and any suggestions are welcomed.
If you enjoy helping and playing with children this club is for you. Some activity that has been done is making valentines for the children at children’s hospital, painting pumpkins with children, and tutoring.
Other volunteer opportunities are a voice drive, children’s hospital, and operation give back. All of these opportunities contribute to children and helping their needs by giving them a new voice, playing with sick children, and tutoring kid who needed help.
Co-president Hannah Wisniewski says “joining this club gives you hands-on experience with children and allows you to network yourself with the community and schools. This club helps you learn how to collaborate with others, use the skills you’ve been learning in the classroom and is fun” If interested contact Hannah (wisniehm@mail.uc.edu).
